Coimbatore Regional Transport Office today rallied to creates awareness on 100% voter turnout using horse carriages.
Coimbatore: An awareness campaign was held by the Coimbatore Regional Transport Office in Coimbatore using horse carriage, demanding 100% turnout in the 2021 Coimbatore Assembly elections.
The Tamil Nadu Assembly elections are scheduled to be held on April 6. Awareness is being created among the people on behalf of the Election Commission and the Government of Tamil Nadu to get 100% of the people to vote in this election.
As part of this initiative, an awareness campaign was conducted with a rally of horse carriage on behalf of the Regional Transport Office in Coimbatore.
The awareness campaign was launched by Central Regional Transport Officer Bhaskar today.
At the campaign, Baskaran said, "We have decided to launch this campaign on behalf of the 4 regional transport offices in Coimbatore so as to create awareness amongst the public to cast their votes honestly. We have brought three carriages equipped with placards that carry the message about the need to vote. Caps with election-related slogans were also provided for the campaign participants."
Baskaran also said that these horse carriages will travel to Avinashi Road, Trichy Road and other public places to spread awareness.
