Election Expenses Supervisor checks flying squad official's vehicle in Valparai

Flying squad authorities and Election Commission officials are involved in continuous vehicle searches across Coimbatore ahead of the 2021 state assembly polls.

Coimbatore: Flying squad authorities and Election Commission officials are constantly conducting continuous vehicle searches across Coimbatore, ahead of the 2021 state assembly polls.

The officials have recovered Rs.50,000 in cash thus far and have also recorded the car searches done by the flying squad officials.

Meanwhile Election Expense Supervisor for Coimbatore, Tirupur and Erode, Ram Krish Kediya IRS had been keeping an eagle eye on a particular flying squad official's vehicle for a long time. Today, he stopped the vehicle near the Valparai Town Panchayat office and inspected the documents. He discovered that the flying squad officials have only searched 15 vehicles and not multiple vehicles.

Later, Election Expense Supervisor Ram advised the flying squad officials to check every car and record the footage even if the car belonged to a senior administrative officer, without any exception to his own car too. This caused a stir in the area.
