"The AIADMK government has been a supporter of anti-people laws and bus fares have been hiked under the AIADMK regime. But, when DMK comes to power, women would be handed free bus passes. During the Corona virus pandemic period, the rich managed to maintain their money but the poor migrant workers faced immense hardship. When MK Stalin, the leader of the opposition demanded that each family be granted Rs. 5000 as financial aid, the AIADMK government refused. Hence, when we come back to power, a financial assistance of Rs. 5000 will be granted to all the families on Kalaignar's birthday," promised Trichy Siva.

He also added that on Women's Day, in the Lok Sabha, he had requested the Central Government to provide tax exemption for sanitary napkins used by women. "In the DMK's election manifesto, we have promised that sanitary napkins will be free for all girls in government-aided schools. There are many differences in our nation, but we live in unity. But it was the AIADMK government that supported the anti-Islamic law introduced by the BJP government and was responsible for its implementation. On the other hand, the AIADMK's election manifesto falsely claims that it will demand the repeal of the CAA Act. When the Citizenship Act was passed in the Lok Sabha, I put forward only two demands saying that they should include Islam as the seventh of the religions mentioned. Secondly, we wanted to include Sri Lanka in the specified countries but the BJP government at the Central refused to accept it," slammed the DMK MP.

Trichy Siva was of the opinion that the economy of India is determined by both the agricultural and public sectors. "But today, the BJP government is working to sell it to the private sector. DMK has the courage to oppose that because the BJP government has committed atrocities by favouring Sri Lanka and supporting them and by not participating in the Sri Lankan war crimes referendum at the UN General Assembly."
