Coimbatore: AIADMK candidate for Singanallur assembly constituency KR Jayaraman today campaigned in the areas of PN Palayam and other surrounding areas to gain support from voters.
At an interview in between the campaign, KR Jayaraman said that "In the 2016 elections people of the Singanallur constituency gave a chance to DMK, but DMK MLA Karthik did not take any action.
Voters are telling me that they haven't seen the MLA before, this is the extent of his role as an MLA. As everyone was suffering during the Covid-19 pandemic, Rural Development Minister SP Velumani ordered welfare schemes to be distributed to the people of the constituency which DMK won.
In the areas belonging to our constituency, I along with AIADMK party members distributed welfare schemes to the public. People are thinking about it and are wishing me the best wherever I go.
On winning the election, I have decided to conduct people meetings every 3 months through which I can understand the needs of the people. I will take appropriate action needed to solve the pending issues on winning the elections."
