Public in Tirupur protest by hoisting black flags in their houses.
Tirupur: More than 1000 members of the Arunthathiyar and minority communities live in the Rayapuram and Anaimedu areas in Tirupur.
Public from the area say that they have been living in these areas for the last 80 years and complained that no action has been taken so far to give them patta even after filing complaints with the district administration department.
The public further said that individuals with fake documents are trying to encroach the lands and then accused the district officials who are helping the individuals in their deeds.
Hence the public from these areas in Tirupur have announced to boycott the upcoming elections and have hoisted black flags at their houses as a sign of protest.
