Election Commission has set a maximum expenditure limit of rupees 30 lakhs to candidates contesting at the state assembly elections. Meanwhile the Election Commission has now asked the candidates to submit a report of their election expenses so far.
Right from beverages, food till keeping banners and transport, the election commission has ordered for a detailed report. These reports should be submitted at the respected election office and a detailed meeting was held yesterdayat the Coimbatore Corporation Central Zone Office.
Election Official Subramaniam, representatives of candidates and independent candidates participated in the event.
Since Covid-19 is on the rise, politicians are requested not to have big crowds and the bystander for the candidates were asked to maintain social distancing and were also asked to wear face masks.
Election Commission has asked the candidates to submit the expense account by 25th March.
