Coimbatore: BJP candidate Vanathi Srinivasan, who is contesting from Coimbatore South constituency on behalf of the National Democratic Alliance, today campaigned in areas including New Siddhapudur. She said, "Tamil Nadu has received a number of welfare schemes during the rule of Jayalalithaa, the former chief minister of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rule, India has received various welfare schemes, I will be a strong candidate to talk to the central government and obtain various welfare schemes for Coimbatore."
