Sundarajan who is the Assistant Commissioner of the accounts department has been transferred to the position in North Zone. He will also be the election officer for Coimbatore South Zone.
Coimbatore: With the state assembly elections nearing, continuous fights and arguments are on the rise between party members.
DMK members also petitioned multiple complaints to Coimbatore District Collector Rajamani on how election officers are showing partiality to AIADMK party members. Similarly, AIADMK members have also filed complaints with the Coimbatore District Collector Rajamani about the DMK party members and election officials.
These complaints were later examined by the Returning Officer and District Collector Rajamani who then transferred the election officers.
Meanwhile, Coimbatore Central Zone Assistant Commissioner was appointed as the election officer for Coimbatore South, South Zone Assistant Commissioner and West Zone Assistant Commissioner were appointed as the Assistant Election Officers.
In that, Mahesh Kanagaraj who is the Central Zone Assistant Commissioner was initially appointed as the Governing officer. He then additionally took charge as the Assistant Commissioner.
He was then transferred to the post of North Zone Assistant Commissioner as she did not come under the Sub Collector cadre. Instead of him West Zone Assistant Commissioner Siva Subramaniam was changed to the Central Zone along with Ravi who took charge as the South Zone Assistant Commissioner.
Ravi was then given an extension of work for the last 3 years. DMK members filed a petition with the district collector raising the doubts of his involvement with the ruling party.
After careful examination by the chief election officials, South Zone Commissioner Ravi has been transferred to the accounts department of the main office.
