DMK submits petition to disqualify AIADMK Kavundampalayam constituency candidate PRG Arunkumar
Coimbatore: DMK lawyers has filed a petition with the District Collectoe seeking disqualification of AIADMK Kavundampalayam candidate PRG Arunkumar for spreading slander against the DMK candidate.
Payya R. Krishnan, is the DMK candidate who is contesting from Coimbatore Kavundampalayam constituency, and on behalf of AIADMK PRG Arunkumar is contesting. The DMK lawyers filed a complaint with the District Collector on behalf of the team alleging that "PRG Arunkumar was making false allegations and spreading lies on social media about the DMK candidate. AIADMK have been criticizing Kavundampalayam DMK candidate Payya R Krishnan and DMK leader Stalin and making false allegations on social media. These recordings are in a way that tarnishes the name of Payya R Krishnan and tarnishes his image in the eyes of the public."
DMK lawyers have filed a petition with the District Collector seeking disqualification of PRG Arunkumar for violating election rules, along with documents including photos and slogans posted on social networking sites alleging that such actions of AIADMK candidate PRG Arunkumar were against the Code of Conduct for Elections.
