With MLA candidates from every constituency involved in intense campaigning for their party, CPI Valparai candidate Arumugam today campaigned at tea estates in Valparai which was headed by DMK secretary Palpandi and Workers Union Head Ganesan.
Arumugam along with other party members visited the areas of Akkamalai, Pachaimalai, Vellamalai, Kajamalai, Sirukundra and old Valparai to meet tea estate labourers and assured them to give them a salary hike.
He then assured the laborers that an alternative job will be given to college going students immediately once the DMK led Madhasarbatra Murpoku Kootani comes to power. He also requested the labourers to vote for him at the Ears of Corn and Sickle symbol.
