Coimbatore: 4 DMK workers admitted to the government hospital in the DMK-AIADMK clash in the 100th ward in Mettur area. Kurichi Prabhakaran is contesting as DMK candidate in Kinathukadavu Assembly constituency and former Minister Damodaran is contesting as AIADMK candidate. Two days ago, when AIADMK candidate Kurichi Prabhakaran went to campaign for votes in the Mettur area in the 100th ward of the Coimbatore Corporation under the Kinathukadavu constituency, it is said that the AIADMK was involved in a riot.
A complaint was lodged at the Podanur police station on behalf of both parties. It is said that both parties were summoned and it seems that the AIADMK had entered the DMK member's house in the Mettur area last night and attacked. Mettu DMK member Kutty's head was broken. Ward secretary Saravanan and Arun were also injured.
Four injured DMK members were admitted to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment. Following this, the DMK came before the police station last night and lodged a complaint at the Podanur police station demanding the arrest of the AIADMK leader who carried out the attack. The DMK has accused the police of acting in favor of the AIADMK.
