New row houses and ration shops will be set up for the people of the Adivasi Colony - DMK candidate VM Shanmugasundaram promises
Coimbatore: DMK candidate VM Shanmugasundaram promises to build new row houses and ration shops for the people of the Adivasi Colony in Marudhamalai. He assured that the people can approach him for their grievances anytime once he is elected.
Later, he took to the streets in the Marudhamalai area and asked the public to vote for him on the 'Rising Sun' symbol. When he addressed the people in Adivasi Colony area, he said that for the first time in Tamil Nadu, row houses were built for the Adivasi people in 1986 when he was the head of the Vadavalli municipality. He said, "Currently, the houses are damged after 35 years for being built. Once I succeed and take charge as a member of the legislature, steps will be taken to build a new houses. Siruvani drinking water will be made available to the colony without any restrictions. I will set up a new ration shop,"
During the campaign, Coimbatore South District Officer-in-Charge Kavundampalayam Assembly constituency DMK candidate Paiyya R. Krishnan, DMK executives Kuppusamy, Duraisamy, Raja, Velusamy, Saravana Kumar, Senthil, Rajkumar, Congress and Coalition party executives were present in large numbers.
