Retired CRPF officers called for duty during Assembly polls in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: Coimbatore: Retired officers of CRPF under 65 years of age and in good health are to be engaged in election duty at polling stations in Mettupalayam, Periyanayakanpalayam, Perur, Karumathampatti, Pollachi and Valparai sub-districts of Coimbatore District ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections. BSF and CISF have also been called up to serve as special constables.
The Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police has requested those who wish to work in the election security service to contact the Election Division operating at the Coimbatore District Police Office and submit 2 copies of their voter ID card.
