Work to create basic amenities at all Coimbatore district polling booths completed
Coimbatore: There are 4,427 polling booths in 1,085 polling stations in Coimbatore district. An additional 1,370 polling stations have been set up for the upcoming assembly elections. Additional polling booths and new polling booths have been set up at the existing centers.
The election commission officials inspected the provision of basic facilities including toilets and drinking water facilities for the polling officers in the newly set up polling booths. Currently, the work of providing the basic facilities required for all the polling booths has been completed.
According to the district election officials, the work of providing the necessary basic facilities at the polling booths has been completed. The work of fitting webcams is in full swing.
