Thondamuthur DMK candidate Karthikeya Sivasenapathy lodges complaint against SP Velumani
Coimbatore: DMK candidate from Thondamuthur constituency Karthikeya Sivasenapathy has filed a complaint against SP Velumani after meeting Senthil Arasan, the election officer at the Perur Tahsildhar's office.

Karthikeya Sivasenapathy alleges that AIADMK candidate SP Velumani of Thondamuthur constituency has given his property details incorrectly on 18.03.2021 while filing nominations for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections that began on March 12. He accused SP Velumani of having concealed the income of his wife and daughter and has therefore requested Election Officer Senthil Arasan that his candidature be rejected. He pointed out that in 2016, the income for Form 26 for 2015-2016 was Rs 7,19,815. But in 2021, the income for 2015-16 has been changed to 4,01,210.

Karthikeya Sivasenapathy also alleged that SP Velumani's wife Vidyadevi, daughter Sarangi and son Vikash did not mention the source of income. He demanded that he should therefore be prosecuted for altering and concealing his property details. Karthikeya Sivasenapathy has also demanded that SP Velumani's candidate be rejected.
