Corporation Commissioner inspects coronavirus prevention measures in Townhall area: Levies fine on driver and conductor who did not wear masks
Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer P. Kumaravel Pandian inspected the coronavirus prevention measures in the Townhall area. He also levied fine on drivers and conductors who violated prevention measures during the inspection.

Corporation Commissioner P. Kumaravel Pandian visited the Town Hall Supermarket Road in the Central Zone of Coimbatore Corporation yesterday and inspected the coronavirus prevention works. The commissioner who inspected the coronavirus prevention works in the Big Bazaar area in Coimbatore Central Zone also levied a fine of Rs. 200 to the bus driver and conductor who failed to wear masks.


He also advised the public in the bus stop area to wear a face mask. The commissioner saw garbage dumped in front of the roadside shops in the area and advised the shop owner to dump only in the garbage bins. City Health Officer Dr. Raja, Zonal Health Officer Radhakrishnan and Corporation officials were present during the inspection.
