Forest department sets up cage to capture leopard that attacked a boy in Valparai
Coimbatore: A boy was attacked by a leopard while playing in Valparai, Coimbatore district last evening. The injured boy is receiving treatment in Coimbatore. Surveillance cameras have been installed in the area to monitor the movement of leopards based on the orders of Arokiaraj Xavier, Director, Anaimalai Tiger Reserve.
Measures have been taken to capture the leopard in two more cages. Bombs have been set up in the presence of Assistant Forest Ranger Prasanth, Pollachi Headquarters Additional Forest Ranger Attakatti Training Center Manampalli Wildlife Sanctuary. A large number of forest department officers are also involved in intensive monitoring.
