Two persons severely injured in a head-on collision between two motorcycles at Kinathukadavu flyover
Coimbatore: Two-wheelers collided head on the Kinathukadavu flyover where two persons were severely injured. Karpakaraja (A) Karuppusamy (26), a resident of Kurumbapalayam, Pollachi, Coimbatore, was on his way to Pollachi on a two-wheeler last night after visiting the Coimbatore Government Arts College the day before yesterday.
At that time, while approaching the Kinathukadavu flyover, a two-wheeler speeding in the opposite direction on one lane collided with a two-wheeler driven by Karpakaraja. Karpakaraja (A) Karuppasamy from Mullupadi was seriously injured. Following this, 108 ambulances were called and both were sent to the Pollachi Government Hospital. The two were given first aid at the hospital and were shifted to a private hospital in Coimbatore for further treatment.
The Kinathukkadavu police who came to know about the accident are conducting an investigation based on the complaint lodged by Karpakaraja who was being treated for his injuries in the private hospital.
