Four persons who were involved in various theft and burglary arrested in Pollachi
Coimbatore: Four persons who were involved in various incidents of theft and burglary in several areas in Pollachi have been arrested. They also robbed women who went walking alone. Hence on the orders of the Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police, the Eastern Police Station personnel went in search of the robbers to nab the gang involved in the incidents.
During the vehicle inspection in the Unjavelampatti area, they stopped and interrogated persons who looked suspicious. Upon receiving contradictory answers the police investigated further and it was revealed that they were involved in burglary and theft incidents. Police arrested 4 persons including Venkatesh, Gopinath, Vinodkumar and Sivaguru from Chennai. They later confiscated gold jewelery and silverware worth Rs 5 lakh from them, charged them and imprisoned them.
