Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian today(18.03.201) conducted an inspection overseeing the Covid-19 protocol measures taken by the corporation officials and public.
Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian todayvisited Central Zone, Gandhipuram, Cross Cut Road, 10th Street, Tatabad, 9th 10th and 11 streets, 100ft road and other areas near it inspecting the Covid-19 guidelines like wear face masks and maintaining social distancing that are undertaken at various shopping complexes, restaurants, textile showrooms and roadside shops.
He then fined construction workers with Rs 5,000 who were working without wearing face masks. On inspecting near the 100ft road District Corporation Commissioner fined 4 people with Rs 500 for working at a company without wearing masks.
During the inspection Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian advised the public and passengers about the importance of wearing masks and maintaining social distancing and also explained about the seriousness of Covid-19.
District Executive Engineer Ravichandran, Assistant Executive Engineer Karupasamy, Assistant Engineer Angelina, District Health Officer Radhakrishnan and others were present during the inspection.
