Tirupur: After hours of waiting, Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) cadres returned dejected, as their party President Kamal Haasan who had scheduled a meeting at Udumalai today, made an sudden detour.
After attending the meeting in Madathukulam in Tirupur district, Kamal Haasan was supposed to arrive to Udumalai in a helicopter to introduce the MNM Candidate for the upcoming assembly elections in the constituency.
Hours before his scheduled arrival, cadres and his fans gathered at Udumalai to click a selfie with their leader. As they waited patiently watching the skies for Kamal Haasan's grand arrival in a helicopter, the cadres lost patience and inquired only to learn that he had already left from a helipad near Udumalaipet after his Madathukulam meeting.
Clueless on what actually happened, the party cadres speculated that Kamal Haasan was dejected seeing just a handful of people during his Madathukulam meeting, hence anticipating low attendance at Udumalai too, he could have shunned away, they rumoured.
