Kovai Thangam who was expecting to be the candidate for Valparai was in shock when AIADMK announced the constituency to Amul Kandhasami.
Coimbatore: Kovai Thangam was the Vice President of the Tamil Manila Congress Party. He met with the press today at the RHR hotel premises near the Coimbatore Railway Station after a row with the party members.
Kovai Thangam who was expecting to be the candidate for Valparai was in shock when AIADMK party announced the constituency to Amul Kandhaswamy.
During the press meet that happened today, Kovai Thangam blamed Minister SP Velumani as the reason for not being allocated the Valparai Constituency.
He then made a controversial remark on SP Velumani and stated that "SP Velumani must be the Minister of Corruption."
When asked if he would contest as an independent candidate, Kovai Thangam said that he will soon make a decision after discussing it with the people of Valparai.
He then clearly announced that he has resigned from all his duties and associations from the Tamil Manila Congress Party.
