Pollachi Assembly constituency AIADMK candidate Pollachi Jayaraman files nomination: Promises to declare Pollachi as a district.
Coimbatore: Pollachi Assembly constituency AIADMK candidate Pollachi Jayaraman filed his nomination and promised to declare Pollachi as a district. AIADMK Deputy Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman, who is contesting from Pollachi Assembly constituency, filed his nomination with Pollachi Election Officer Vaidyanathan and took his oath in the presence of the Election Officer.
He later told reporters that various projects have been implemented on behalf of the AIADMK government in the areas under the Pollachi Assembly constituency for the last 10 years. Various public works including widening of Coimbatore Road, Pollachi - Dindigul National Highway, Sewerage Project in Pollachi, Pollachi Government Hospital.
He also added that all the preliminary arrangements have been made to declare Pollachi as a separate district and promised that Pollachi would be declared a separate district if the AIADMK government came to power again. He complained that the DMK was constantly trying to seek political gain by making false allegations and spreading slanderous messages on social media. He appealed to the people to support the AIADMK government which is doing various projects for the people and making them win.
