Coimbatore District Collector K Rajamani met the public and distributed face masks
Coimbatore: An awareness camp was held at Gandhipuram city bus stand to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Presiding over the function, Coimbatore District Collector K Rajamani met the passengers and talked about the need to wear a face mask. He and the Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner also urged the public to wear face masks.

Coimbatore District Collector K Rajamani has annouced that companies that do not comply with the Coronavirus Prevention Measures will be fined Rs 5,000 and action will be taken to close the company. Action will be taken against parties violating coronavirus prevention rules.
Later, he told reporters that “more than 80 people had been confirmed with infection yesterday. The recurrence of the disease is due to people not taking the measures seriously. It is imperative to follow social distancing and wear face masks to control the infection. All precautionary measures should be followed, including wearing a mask when attending public events. Restaurants, companies, jewelers and factories must ensure that people wear face masks, use disinfectants and monitor body temperature

Those without a face mask will be fined 100-200 rupees and factories and companies that do not follow the government's coronavirus prevention rules will be closed.”
He also urged “the government to make it compulsory for everyone to be vaccinated using the free vaccination facility and added that those who wish to be vaccinated can pay the appropriate fee at private hospitals. The government has asked the parties to take appropriate precautionary measures ahead of the elections as the chances of the disease spreading are high during the election campaigns and public meetings.

He added that appropriate action will be taken against the parties violating the coronavirus prevention rules.
