Among the candidates who filed their nomination papers in Coimbatore, Nilgiris and Tirupur districts yesterday, MNM leader Kamal Haasan, who is contesting from the south constituency, said he has assets worth Rs 177 crore, including houses, buildings, agricultural land and vehicles.
R Mahendran, the MNM candidate contesting in the Singanallur constituency, has assets worth Rs 170 crore with home, farmland, jewelry all included.
AIADMK candidate Jayaram, who is contesting from Singanallur constituency, has assets worth Rs 102 crore in his name and in the name of his wife, according to a release.
AIADMK candidate Ramalingam, who is contesting from Kangayam constituency, has stated that he has assets worth Rs 66 crore including house, agricultural land and building.
The AIADMK candidate contesting in Madathukulam constituency, former MP C Mahendran, has assets worth Rs 29.34 crore, including house, land and jewelry.
Sukumar, a former MP contesting from Pollachi constituency, has filed that he has assets worth Rs 23.34 crore, including house, land and jewelry.
Speaker Danapal, who is contesting from Avinashi constituency, has assets worth Rs 9.40 crore in his name and in the name of his wife as movable and immovable property.
Vanathi Srinivasan is contesting from Coimbatore South constituency and has assets worth Rs 9.28 crore belonging to the family of candidate Vanathi.
Anandan, the AIADMK candidate in the Palladam constituency, has stated that he has assets worth Rs 8.79 crore in the form of houses, land and jewelry. Minister Velumani, who is contesting from Thondamuthur constituency, has stated that he has assets worth Rs 5.60 crore combined in his name and in the name of his wife.
