Corporation Commissioner inspects the cleaning work in the West Zone
Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer inspected the cleaning work in the West Zone. The Commissioner informed residents that it is prohibited to paste notices or leaflets on the wall or paint on the wall in the areas of Coimbatore Corporation.

After inspecting and clearing the blocks in the passageway of the rainwater drainage canals with the help of the sanitary staff and the works of spraying mosquito repellent and the rainwater drainage on the roadsides.
After being told that garbage should not be dumped in the canals and that garbage should be segregated and given to the sanitary workers. He then enquired people in the area if the drinking water was being distributed properly. Following this, the Corporation Commissioner said that there is a ban to put up notices and posters on the walls in the areas of Coimbatore as per the election rules of conduct.
City Engineer A. Lakshmanan, Executive Engineer (Smart City) Saravanakumar, Zonal Health Officer Gunasekaran and work supervisors, health inspectors and corporation officials were present during the inspection.
