PAP Farmer's in the Kangeyam Constituency of Tirupur District arrived in an innovative way to file their nominations to contest in the elections.
In an effort to show their protest against the government and government officials for not dispensing the mandatory level of water, a farmer from the Kadaimadai Farmers Union today filed a nomination to contest in their constituency.

The candidate along with 200 other farmers arrived from Kariyalam area in bullock carts which were driven by men to file the nomination at the Tahsildar's office in Kangeyam.
Since no solution was given by the government in the water supply issue, over 1000 farmers have decided to contest in the Kangeyam Constituency. The first nomination was submitted today.

More than 150 farmers have got the application forms and are involved in the process of filling it. The remaining farmers are expected to file their nominations in the upcoming days.
