Coimbatore: Election officials decided to inspect mortuary van and ambulance ahead of assembly election. Election officials are taking various measures ahead of the assembly elections which includes accelerating the inspection of a variety of private hotels, and vehicles. Following this, ambulances and mortuary vans have been brought under election conduct rules as there is a possibility of carrying cash and jewelry in them. As the Code of Conduct for Elections came into force, restrictions on ambulances also came into force.

The rules of conduct for assembly elections are in force in Tamil Nadu. Police and election officials are constantly monitoring. Ambulance and ambulance services are also subject to restrictions on cash, jewelry and goods. Accordingly, the ambulance and ambulance services have been warned that stern action will be taken if money and jewelry are taken.

108 Ambulance staff said, 'During the election, the guidelines will be printed and pasted on the ambulance. Accordingly, money, jewelry and other items are not allowed. We allow patients and relatives to come only after checking them. If the person involved in the accident has a lot of money, then we inform the police after handing it over to the hospital.

Free mortuary van officials said, "The number of people accompanying the body in the ambulance service should not be high. Possessions should be allowed only after inspection. Various orders have been issued including that goods and bags should not be loaded without permission."
