Bank employees protest in Pollachi against the privatization of public sector banks
Coimbatore: Bank employees today went on a two-day nationwide strike to condemn the privatization of India's public sector banks. As part of this, more than 1,200 employees of 28 national banks and private bank employees in Pollachi taluk are on strike.

Bank employees protested in front of Bank of Baroda on Pollachi-Coimbatore road. The protestors raised slogans against the central government. Bank employees have warned that the plan to privatize public sector banks must be scrapped and that protests will continue unless the central government withdraws its announcement.
