Purushothaman from Aathiyur has been reported missing by his mom since 7 th March.
Coimbatore: Purushothaman (20) is from the Aathiyur area near Pollachi, Coimbatore. He has been reported missing by his mom at the Vadakipalayam police station as he never returned home since 7 th March.
Post this complaint, police department began their preliminary investigation, police officials found that Purushothaman recently purchased a two wheeler Benelli worth 3 lakhs and had a dispute with his friend Udhaiyakumar from Sethumadai regarding money.
Police officials also found that Udayakumar pushed Purushothaman in a nearby canal due to the argument. Post this Vadakipalayam police officials arrested Udayakumar on 13th March and have placed him in custody.
At the same time Fire and Rescue Department Officials were involved in recovering Purushothaman's body by searching the Thirumoorthy Dam and Kandoor Canal areas.
Meanwhile, Purushothaman's body was found today near the main canal of Parambikulam Aliyar water supply area near the Aliyar monkey falls area. Post that his body was recovered and has been sent to the Pollachi Government Hospital for autopsy.
Further the attempt to murder case filed on Udayakumar has been changed to murder charges.
