Coimbatore Court yesterday sentenced a North Indian man for life in a murder case.
Case details are as follows:
In a murder case from Coimbatore, a man from Odissa was sentenced to life in prison by the judges yesterday.
Sivasamy (47) who was a resident of Ganesapuram, Annur went for a walk on January 31st, 2019. During his return he saw a man trying to enter his house. On seeing that Sivasamy tried to stop the man, but was killed by the intruder using coconut bark before the neighbours came for help.
But the man was later caught by the locals and was surrendered to the police officials. During further investigation it was revealed that the man was Binoj Yakka (30) who was originally from Kudurav, Odissa and was temporarily working in Annur as an assistant.
Police officials then arrested him and sent him to prison. A case was filed against him at the sessions court in Coimbatore. Judge Gunasekharan who presided over the case, sentenced Binoy Yakka to life in prison along with a fine of rupees 1000.
