SP Velumani who has stolen millions of people's many is said to be using them to attract voters.
Coimbatore: With the state assembly elections to be held in Tamilnadu on April 6th, majority political parties announced their list of candidates. DMK announced their list of candidates today morning.
One of the notable announcements by DMK was the candidate for Thondamuthur Constituency in Coimbatore. This time DMK has given Karthikeya Sivasenapathy (DMK's Environmental team Secretary) the opportunity to contest in the Thondamuthur Constituency against AIADMK Minister SP Velumani which is considered to be a fortress for AIADMK.
In a press release issued by DMK's Karthikeya Siva Senathipathy, he said that:
"I am really thankful to DMK party chief MK Stalin and other members of the party for giving me this opportunity.
The support and help of district, corporation and zonal secretaries and zonal, town, village and block members is very valuable to gain victory against the minister who has done maximum corruption.
We must defeat AIADMK to regain our rights:
Tamilnadu for the last 10 years has been facing a lot of struggles, issues in development, loss of state rights and many other issues. AIADMK being a puppet to BJP has mortgaged the entire state's rights to the central government.
Corruption of Ministers:
AIADMK Ministers specially Minister SP Velumani has no boundaries when it comes to corruption. He has been cheating people by stealing over thousands of crores. His main reason for being a Minister is to increase his financial status and to increase the wealth of his beneficiaries.
He has been involved in continuous illegal activities by bullying the people in Thondamuthur area like illegal mining of natural resources. Minister SP Velumani has links with those who were arrested regarding the Pollachi sexual assault case. He then causes harm to whistle blowers by using the police force against them. People of Thondamuthur are affected deeply by the activities of SP Velumani."
"Facing elections not because I trust money, but because I have trust on the people"
SP Velumani who has stolen millions from people's money and is said to be using them to attract voters. It is even rumoured that he is distributing gifts. SP Velumani believes that he can escape reality by buying voters. But I am not contesting in this election trusting gifts or money.
I am contesting by putting all my hopes on you people. I am not cash rich like my opposition but I am sure I will put all my efforts towards the people's needs and will especially work towards the safety of women.
And also after this election, SP Velumani may have to go to prison for the corruption cases against him. So it will be impossible for him to take care of his constituency. Coimbatore people have always been in favour of truth. I hope that history repeats."
I am not a newbie to Coimbatore!
"I was born on 18th October 1972 at Kuppuswamy Naidu Hospital to parents Senapathy and Saraswati. I grew up at the Shanmugam street in RS Puram and studied at the Bharathi Vidya Bhavan School. Annapoorna and Iyer & Co bakery are some of my best childhood memories.
Myself and my family members are regulars to the Murugan Temple in Gandhipark. All my life has been around the Thondamuthur Constituency. In order to preserve the traditional cattles I am now running the Senapathy Cattle Kangeyam Research Foundation.
Even my daughter is studying here in Coimbatore. I am not new to the constituency nor the city. I would like to recognise myself as a member of this community.
Even though lot of political parties are contesting at the Thondamuthur Constituency, people definitely know that only DMK has the capacity to restore the lost pride of Tamilnadu due to the rule of slaves.
I sincerely request the voters of Thondamuthur Constituency to make me win at a high majority by making SP Velumani loose without even getting the deposit." he said.
He further stated that "Leader MK Stalin has so many plans for Tamilnadu. So let us help DMK to make Tamilnadu great again. Think and vote for the Rising Sun" he said.
