Coimbatore: A gangman who was working on an electric pole today afternoonin Coimbatore, passed away after collapsing suddenly.
Police officials said that: Sai Chandru (22) from Narasimhanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore was involved in the repair works of electric poles at the Shakthi Nagar in Periyanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore around 4 pm today.
Sai Chandru who was working with all the protective gears, suddenly collapsed unconscious on the electric pole. On seeing this his co-workers and friends Ganesan, Acchar and Padmanaban immediately gave a call to the Periyanaickenpalayam police department.
On the arrival of Fire and Rescue Department officials, Sai Chandru was taken to a hospital. Doctors after examination said that Sai Chandru died on the commute to the hospital.
Post this Sai Chandru's body was sent to the government hospital for autopsy. Police officials have filed a case regarding this matter and are looking into reasons behind Sai Chandru's unconscious collapse.
