Villagers and pilgrims took part in the festival praying to lord to shower blessings on the agricultural lands in the area.
Tirupur: Thirumoorthy Hills is situated at the foothills of the Western Ghats which is located in Udumalaipet, Tirupur. It is home to the Amanalingeshwarar Temple which has the deities of Shiva, Vishnu and Brammah. Mahashivratri Celebrations take part in this temple every year.
This year as a part of the Masi Maha Shivaratri, the Thiruchapparam was made by the traditional way and was brought to the temple in a separate way via Poolangkinaru, Ragalpavi and Valavadi.
Villagers and pilgrims took part in the festival praying to lord to shower blessings on the agricultural lands in the area. Pilgrims brought pulses, salt and fruits to the Temple in procession.
Tribals in the area made a stage for the Thiruchapparam to be placed after the street tour of the deity. As a part of the Maha Shivaratri Celebrations at the temple, four seasonal pooja and other special aradhana's are scheduled to happen.
