Coimbatore: On the route from Ooty to Kallati near the 19th hairpin bend in The Nilgiris, fire broke out in a Renault Duster car which was on its way to Ooty from Karnataka.
Car driver Saleem and other passengers Vijayalakshmi, Sabareesh, Premala, Prema, Sanvika, Thanshika immediately got out from the car thus escaping from a huge fire accident.
Although the Fire and Rescue Department from Ooty came to the rescue immediately, the car was severely damaged.
Police officials along with Fire and Rescue Department officials are investigating the cause of fire in the moving car.
