The Nilgiris District Collector Innocent Divya conducted election campaign targetting 105 assembly booth's which underperformed in the previous election.
Coimbatore: There are around 5.80 lakh voters in the The Nilgiris district which holds the 3 assembly constituencies of Ooty, Coonoor and Gudalur.
In the last parliamentary elections, less number of votes were casted in 105 election booths across The Nilgiris.
Election Commission Officials took part in a campaign within those areas targeting a 100% voting in the upcoming elections. As a part of the campaign, the officials painted their hands and placed banners in favour of voting.
Nilgiris District Collector Innocent Divya headed the campaign and placed banners, stickers on autos regarding the importance of voting.
Rangoli competition and cultural competition were conducted as a part of the campaign.
