Monthly collection box at the Marudhamalai Murugan Temple in Coimbatore was opened yesterday.
Coimbatore: Volunteers from Palani and Udumalaipet participated in the counting of deposits at the collection box at the temple premises today. The counting was done in front of Assistant Commissioner for Hindus Religious Charitable Endowments Department Vijayalakshmi.
Marudhamalai Murugan Temple Assistant Commissioner Vimala, Temple Superintendent and other officials participated in the counting of deposits made by pilgrims.
Marudhamalai Murugan Temple is one of the famous temples for Hindu God Murugan across Tamilnadu. The Golden Chariot festival at the Marudhamalai Murugan Temple was cancelled for the last 1 year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This saddened the pilgrims.
Marudhamalai Murugan Temple Assistant Commissioner Vimala said that "permission has been granted to conduct the Golden Chariot festival." Public and pilgrims rejoiced on hearing the news.
Apart from that an announcement was made regarding the Temple Prasad Panjamirdam Tender. The tender event is scheduled to happen at the Coimbatore office.
