Coimbatore: Election officials take action as they seized Rs. 3 lakh 83 thousand unaccounted cash from a car in Mettupalayam. Mettupalayam Assembly constituency inspection team was engaged in a vehicle inspection on Kotagiri road, Mettupalayam last night. They stopped and inspected a car coming from Ooty. Nikhil, 34, from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, was driving the car.
It was also revealed that he had Rs 3 lakh 83 thousand in the car. Authorities asked him to show him a document for the money and as there was no evidence for that, authorities immediately confiscated the money. He was asked to submit the relevant documents and to claim the money.
