Coimbatore: In a shocking incident that took place in Coimbatore, Husband kills estranged wife after which he commits sucide fearing police arrest.
Ravi (50) a textile trader belonged to the NGGO colony in Thudiyalur, Coimbatore. He was married to Kalpana (42) and had two sons Ajith (23) and Gokul (20).
The couple were reported to have issues post which Kalpana left her husband Ravi and was living at a rented house in the same area.
After this when Kalpana left her house to get milk today morning, Ravi saw her and requested her to come back to him and asked her to live with him. When Kalapana refused to go back, Ravi took a sword and murdered Kalpana.
On escaping from the scene, Ravi fled to the railway track near Mettupalayam fearing that he would be soon caught by the police and that he would soon be sent to prison. On seeing the Nilgiris Express train coming towards him, Ravi jumped in front of the train and killed himself.
On receiving information regarding this issue, Mettupalayam Railway Police and City Police Officials arrived at the scene and recovered the body.
The body was then sent for autopsy and officials have begun their investigation.
