Coimbatore: Pollachi Assembly constituency has launched a new initiative to send postal votes to households in areas with low turnout. Pollachi election officials are in the process of sending mail to voters for the first time to increase turnout in areas with low turnout in Pollachi, inviting them to come to the polls on April 6.


Officials, including Election Officer Vaidyanathan, have been tasked with identifying polling stations in the rural areas of the Pollachi Assembly constituency where voter turnout was low in the last election and calling for the people of the area to go to the polls and cast their ballots on April 6 by sending them posts. Social activists have praised the authorities' efforts to increase the turnout.
