Coimbatore: Rs. 3 lakh 12 thousand rupees cash seized without proper documents in Pollachi and its surroundings. Election Flying Squad officers were engaged in a vehicle inspection in the R Ponnapuram area near Pollachi.
When they searched Karthikeyan, a chilli trader who came in a car at that time, was confiscated Rs.1,50,000, Rs. 1,02,000 was confiscated from Easwaran from Pollachi and Rs. 60,000 confiscated without proper documents from Rajesh Kumar of Kerala who came in a car near Servaikaranpalayam. Rs. 3 lakh 12 thousand was seized in a single day.
This was handed over to the Election Officer Vaidyanathan. Authorities are investigating the traders from whom the money was confiscated.
