Coimbatore: One kilogram of gold jewelry seized by the Election Flying Squad at Puravipalayam returned as it had relevant documents. During the inspection at Puravipalayam near Pollachi, the election flying squad stopped the car from Kerala and found a kilo of gold jewelry in it.
On suspicion, a team of officers confiscated the gold jewelery and handed it over to the election officer, Vaidyanathan. Investigations revealed that Sajee, an employee of a jewelry shop in Kerala, had brought the jewelry from Ottapalam near Kerala to a popular jewelry shop in Pollachi.
Election Commission officials then checked the documents in his possession and returned the jewelry to him.
