Coimbatore: Members of Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam took part in their state advisory meeting at the Periyar Padipagam in Gandhipuram, Coimbatore.
When TPDK General Secretary K Ramakrishnan met the press, he stated " The social justice, state rights, educational and employment rights which was achieved after the struggle for over hundred years is being snatched from us by the BJP party and the puppet AIADMK government in Tamilnadu is helping them with this.
In the state advisory meeting we have decided to abolish the AIADMK-BJP rule by extending our support to Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam." He then said that by doing this, BJP's plans to rule TN will never happen.
TPDK General Secretary K Ramakrishnan also said that he wants a rule from a party which is not backed by a religion.
He then said that "It is treachery against Anna and Jayalalithaa to give BJP party 20 seats in the state assembly elections."
Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam General Secretary K Ramakrishnan then said that "We have planned to actively participate in campaigning against BJP in the 20 constituencies they are contesting."
