Coimbatore: With the announcement of elections for five states, it is not appropriate to hold a parliamentary session, says Coimbatore MP PR Natarajan in a letter to Speaker Om Birla urging him to adjourn the session.



Coimbatore: With the announcement of elections for five states, it is not appropriate to hold a parliamentary session, says Coimbatore MP PR Natarajan in a letter to Speaker Om Birla urging him to adjourn the session.

Coimbatore MP PR Natarajan in a letter to the Speaker said: -

“It has been announced that the parliamentary session will be held from March 8 to April 8. In this situation, the date of assembly elections has been announced for the five states of West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Pondicherry.

These MPs will be involved in the election campaign as elections are to be held in these states where there are more than a hundred opposition MPs.

In this case, holding a parliamentary session would not be possible. Therefore, the Parliamentary session should be adjourned after holding discussions only on the most important financial bill in the current session.“
