Coimbatore: Two Justices from Madras HC visit Thudiyalur regarding child sexual abuse and murder case. Chennai High Court judges todayconducted a face-to-face inquiry into the March 2019 rape and murder of a 7-year-old girl at Pannimadai village near Thudiyalur in Coimbatore. Santosh Kumar was arrested in connection with the case and the case was taken up in the Coimbatore Women's Court. When the sperm taken from the girl's body was subjected to DNA testing, it was revealed that it contained the sperm of two persons besides Santosh.
Santosh Kumar was sentenced to death on December 27, 2020at the end of the trial. The Thudiyalur women's police are investigating the identity of another person involved. An appeal has been lodged against this as Sanmosh Kumar has been sentenced to death. The case is being heard in the Chennai High Court. The Chennai High Court judges todayconducted a face-to-face hearing in Pannimadai village.
Chennai High Court judges Prakash and Sivagnanam are currently hearing the case in person in Pannimadai village. Judges conducted an inquiry in the home of the dead girl and those in nearby homes. The journalists were made to stall two kilometers away as the media was not allowed to enter the area as the judges were conducting an investigation.
