Pollachi Assembly polls: Sub-Collector inspects private college where voting machines are kept.
Coimbatore: Sub-Collector inspected the private college where voting machines are kept ahead of the Pollachi Assembly polls.
337 polling booths have been set up in Pollachi assembly constituency and 304 polling booths in Valparai assembly constituency following the forthcoming assembly elections. The voting machines required for the polling booths are to be kept safely at the NGM College in Palakkad Road.
Election officials led by Election Officer Vaidyanathan, Pollachi DSP Sivakumar inspected the center. Arrangements are being made to monitor the polling station with a CCTV camera. Election Officer and Sub-Collector Vaidyanathan said that arrangements will be made for executives from political to also visit to check the security arrangements.
