A Ulavu tree at the school compound is continuously falling down and in certain incidents fell upon children. It is said that some locals have tried to chop down the ulavu tree inside the school premises.
Public from the locality who are against the cutting down of the ulavu tree filed a petition at the Sub Collector’s office in Pollachi on Monday. Meanwhile, more than 100 members from the same area sieged protest at the Pollachi Sub Collector’s office today requesting the officials to immediately remove the tree which has caused so many accidents.
Later a group of locals dissolved from the Sub Collector’s office after the officials promised to remove the tree from the school premises.
