Breaking: Quitting politics - VK Sasikala
Coimbatore: RK Nagar MLA TTV Dhinakaran who met Sasikala at her house a few minutes ago met with the press and media. During his address he stated that "Sasikala has quit politics, She has made a detailed report regarding her retirement from politics."
After this announcement TTV Dhinakaran read the press release in front of the media people. Sasikala in the press release stated that "According to the wishes of my sister and Puratchi Thalaivi, AIADMK members should work in union in the upcoming elections to ensure Puratchi Thalaivar and Puratchi Thalaivi Amma's desire of maintaining AIADMK's golden rule for 100 more years.
We have to work together against our common opposition "DMK" whom Amma has identified as the evil force. AIADMK members must cooperate in union and should not let the opposition come to power and must work hard to continue the golden rule as dreamed by Puratchi Thalaivi Amma.
I am really thankful to Amma's loyal devotees who have shown the same love towards me. I will be the same sister who was there with Amma when she was alive, by being the sane sister working towards establishing Amma's plans for Tamilnadu."
"I never had a desire for power positions, titles or control. I will be forever grateful for all the love showered towards me by the people of Tamilnadu. I am stepping aside from politics but I will continuously pray to my god and sister Puratchi Thalaivi Amma and the supreme god to make Amma's dream come true." Thus read TTV Dhinakaran, the statement of Sasikala before the press and media people.
During the press meet, journalists asked questions about why Sasikala quit politics? and asked what was TTV Dhinakaran's stand regarding this?
Dhinakaran answered this question by staying "I tried my best to make her stay, but her health condition is not in the right condition, she has refused to change her decision."
This news though has created a political shockwave across Tamilnadu is also not surprising considering that her jail term practically dented her chances of any direct politics.
