Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Collector advises that election work was their duty and must be done even if it takes up to midnight.
A consultative meeting was held with government officials on election work at the Coimbatore District Collector's Office. DRO Ramadurai Murugan took the lead in the meeting. District Collector Rajamani attended the function and advised the officials that the election work is their duty.
District Collector Rajamani said, “Election work is our duty. We come to work every day and sometimes we postpone some work for the election. Work is not like that it must be done even though it takes up to 12 in the midnight. Some officials are indifferent to the electoral process and must work in such a way that no complaint is raised."
The meeting was attended by City Police Commissioner Sumit Saran, SP, Arularasu, Rural Development Project Director Kavitha and Election Officers, Assistant Election Officers.
