Coimbatore based renowned Chartered Accountant CA. K. Jalapathi elected as Chairman of the Southern Region (SIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for the year 2021 – 2022.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore based renowned Chartered Accountant K. Jalapathi has been elected as the Chairman of the Southern Region (SIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for the year 2021 – 2022. The Southern Region of ICAI covers States of Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka and Union Territory of Pondicherry and the Lakshadweep Islands with a Membership strength of 61,000 and more than 3 lakh Students.
Before being elevated as the Chairman of SIRC, Coimbatore based renowned Chartered Accountant CA. K. Jalapathi has served as Students Association Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice Chairman of the Southern Region and Chairman of the Career Counselling Committee of SIRC of ICAI. During his tenure as Chairman of the Career Counselling Committee of SIRC he coordinated with the Government of Tamilnadu and played a key role in creating awareness about the Chartered Accountancy course among students and teachers.
In the sixty glorious years of history of the Coimbatore branch of ICAI only four Members have been the Chairman of SIRC, CA. K. Jalapathi joins that elite team as the fifth Member from Coimbatore which is to be noted.
